A community choir of volunteers dedicated to the performance of quality choral literature of all styles and periods. Valley Choral Society, formerly Choral Arts Society of UPV, was founded in 1983 by Richard F. Lampe and is currently led by Patricia Conrad. The Society performs major concerts in the fall and spring and sings for local area functions. The choir has appeared at the Reading and Philadelphia Phillies, and has performed in such places as Longwood Gardens, the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City, and Europe. In addition to regularly presenting major works such as the Faure Requiem and Schubert's Mass in G, the choir performs music by contemporary American composers as well as lighter styles from Broadway to Pops.
