Low-Cost Training for Jobs in High-Demand Fields Available at Montgomery County Community College January 3, 2017 Blue Bell/Pottstown, Pa.--Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) is partnering with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry to help train unemployed Montgomery County residents in four high-demand fields, and funding to offset the cost of the training may be available through Pennsylvania CareerLink®. MCCC will offer training to become computerized numeric control (CNC) operators, medical billing and coding specialists, office assistants and payroll technicians at its Central Campus in Blue Bell, Pa. Each program prepares students for entry level jobs in less than six months and includes test preparation to sit for national certification in each field. “This initiative is part of the College’s renewed commitment to workforce development with a focus on providing education and training opportunities that lead to jobs for Montgomery County residents with county businesses,” said Jim Fox, Executive Director of Workforce Development at MCCC. “We chose these four fields because they are in high demand.” Tuition for each program is $495, but funding to offset the cost may be available through the Pennsylvania CareerLink® of Montgomery County.
