Registrations are being taken for 3-6 year olds and their favorite adult are invited to join us for one of our exciting learning adventures! Designed to be active and hands-on, these programs nurture your child’s love of the natural world. All classes held at the Conservancy’s Brownstone Barn located on the corner of Rt. 29 and Haldeman road in Schwenksville. Pre-registration with payment is required. Thursday, November 16, 2017, 1:00 – 2:15 pm “Animals Underground” Beneath our feet is an “invisible” world we miss out on every day! Moles, chipmunks, mice, fox, worms and bees all live out of site. We will explore tunnels, burrows and bedchambers, which lie, beneath our feet! Thursday, December 7, 2017, 1:00 – 2:15 pm “Black, Brown and Teddy Bears” A light look at bears in our forests and bears in our beds! Here the teddy bear takes center stage and introduces other types of bears found throughout the world. Children are invited to bring their own teddy bear to this active lesson. Thursday, December 21, 2017, 1:00 – 2:15 pm “Animals of the North and South Poles” A bit of geography and geology are carefully woven into this lesson as we introduce the residents of the Arctic and Antarctic regions. We will look at the special features that help them survive some of the harshest conditions on earth.
