On April 17th, 2024, members of Haines & Kibblehouse, Inc. management were in attendance, alongside CDM Smith and others, to receive the “2023 Project Of The Year Over $20 Million Award” from the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) Delaware Valley Section for work completed on I-95, section BS1. The BS1 section of I-95’s reconstruction included the reconstruction of the northbound and southbound lanes of I-95 (8 lanes total) from the relocated Carver Street to Levick Street; the replacement of the spans of I-95 over Comly Street & Van Kirk Street; and the replacement of five (5) retaining walls. Work began in 2020 and the project was finished in 2023. This section of I-95 is elevated above the surrounding real-estate and is supported by a Gravix precast concrete wall system formed by Atlantic American Precast. Haines & Kibblehouse self-performed excavation, demolition and reconstruction of both bridges, drainage, support of excavation (SOE), foundations and paving. All materials came from H&K plants and quarries. The work was completed in stages, which allowed for full traffic to flow. Congratulations to the talented and hardworking men and women of H&K for being recognized as the best! #Construction #Highway #HainesandKibblehouse #AtlanticAmericanPrecast #HKGroup
